This policy covers how we research, write, check, update, and correct pages on this site — writing and product data alike.
We stay independent
Our conclusions aren't for sale to brands or retailers. A commercial relationship never changes our facts, our sizing data, where a fact came from, or which products we recommend. If we ever add sponsored or affiliate relationships, they'll be disclosed separately from our actual reasoning.
The evidence has to match the claim
We don't source every kind of statement the same way. Anything about health or development needs real medical or institutional backing. Details about construction, materials, padding, closures, and sizing should come from the brand's own documentation, labels, or hands-on inspection. A retailer page can support availability info or manufacturer-supplied specs when we can't get the direct source.
Language that's appropriate for the audience
We use practical, non-sexualized language and images, and we avoid anything that exploits body-development topics involving minors. We only discuss development as much as needed to give useful, age-appropriate context.
No made-up age rules
We never say someone needs a bra just because they hit a certain age. Comfort, preference, clothing, activity, and development all vary person to person. When we do discuss developmental ranges, we source them properly and keep them separate from clothing advice.
How product recommendations work
Matches in our database come from verified details, not a hidden commercial score. Similar doesn't mean identical fit, better quality, or a universal recommendation. Missing information never counts in a product's favor. See our Recommendation Methodology for more.
AI-assisted work
AI tools may help with research, drafting, data prep, and quality checks here. However a page was drafted, it still has to meet the same sourcing and editorial standards. No tool gets to invent a missing product detail, fake hands-on testing, or turn a marketing claim into real evidence.
Update dates
Pages can show a published date and a last-modified date. A modified date should reflect an actual review or real update — not a cosmetic tweak just to look fresh. We recheck brand sizing and product records whenever something material changes, or before we lean on them for an important comparison.
Corrections
We fix real errors quickly. Bigger corrections — ones that change what a page, product detail, or sizing record actually means — go through our Corrections Policy.
When a brand is involved
If a brand sends us a product, shares data with us, or enters some kind of commercial relationship with us, that never gives them control over our facts or our conclusions. Any correction a brand sends us still gets checked against their own official documentation before we publish it.
